Frequently Asked Questions

  • What different kinds of Virtual Experiences can you offer to your clients?

    +

You can offer any of the following:
Live Travel Buddy, Basic or Premium Immersion Experiences, Interactive Video Stories, 360 Video Stories

Live Travel Buddy Experiences are live-streamed activities where your guide is reporting live to you, and you can freely interact with them through a direct audio connection or via chat.

These activities could be both indoor or outdoor – in any case, the live-streamed experience is guaranteed!

Basic Travel Experience is a pre-recorded activity with a fixed duration. At the end of the activity, the Organizer can be reached LIVE for further questions or explanations.

Premium Immersion Experience could be a pre-recorded or live activity – in this case, the participant has previously received an Immersion Kit (a Participation Package) at his place with things or accessories closely associated with the activity, for total indulgence and full interactivity.

Interactive Video Stories are high-tech videos where you choose which direction the tour goes by selecting different options on your screen. You can even pause and continue at any time. Relevant quizzes or polls are sometimes added for extra interaction and fun.

360° Video Stories are videos shot with professional 360° panoramic cameras – they can be viewed from all kinds of different angles. It is even more impressive if you own a VR or MR device (headset or goggles) – then, you will be able to enjoy a mind-blowing 3D experience.

  • Do I have to install an application or software to participate or view any of the experiences?

    +

Most of the experiences are actioned by well-known 3rd party video-conferencing software.

In all cases, it is not required for you to have an account to use that software. You would still need, however, an invitation to participate. The invitation will be initiated by the Organizer and privately sent to you.

  • What kind of equipment is needed to view these experiences?

    +

Any PC/MAC, laptop, iPad/tablet, and smartphone will work for you.

In some cases, depending on the experience, your device should have a video camera to ensure your active participation.

And, of course, an Internet connection of at least 10 Mbps is recommended for flawless viewing.

  • Do I need a VR headset to see a 360 Video? What if I don't own one but still want to see it?

    +

It is possible to view a 360° video without owning any special equipment.

You may access it from your computer, smartphone, or iPad and still be able to enjoy the video by using the screen arrows of your player or YouTube to turn the view to all degrees.

If you specifically wish to see the video by a VR headset, you may request us to Rent or Buy one from our preferred suppliers.

  • Are the prices of the experiences final? Why does it say : prices start from....?

    +

The majority of the experiences are customizable and adaptable to your needs.

Their prices are based on groups of no more than 20 individuals, so if you have a bigger or a smaller group – prices may vary.

You can also obtain discounts if you want to book more than one experience or a combination (bundle) of experiences.

Come talk to us, and we will find out together what is best for you or your client.

  • Can I get a discount if I book more than one experience or a bundle of experiences?

    +

Our Beyond Experience Virtual Expert will always listen to you and your specific needs as almost every single experience is customizable and may be adapted to fit your request.

Our role is to identify your specific preferences and consult you on how to get the most of every experience offered.

Furthermore, it is possible to offer you bundled packages of experiences, i.e. combining many countries or different experiences, get discounts, and have economies of scale.

Glossary

Do you speak “geek”?
If not, find out what XR, VR, AR, MR are and get familiarized with the different kinds of Realities.

Extended Reality (XR) is a superset which includes the entire spectrum from “the complete real” to “the complete virtual”

Augmented Reality (AR) where the user is provided with additional computer generated information that enhances their perception of reality, a combination of real and virtual worlds.   Example: You can show a building’s structures and systems super-imposed on a real-life view.

Virtual Reality (VR), is a simulated experience that can be similar to or completely different from the real world. One may distinguish between two types of VR; immersive VR and text-based networked VR (also known as “Cyberspace”).
The immersive VR changes your view, when you move your head.

Mixed reality (MR) is the merging of real and virtual worlds to produce new environments and visualizations, where physical and digital objects co-exist and interact in real time.
Mixed reality does not exclusively take place in either the physical or virtual world, but is a hybrid of reality and virtual reality.
