Sailing through Harberton estancia and the penguin colony
What to expect
Estancia Harberton is a ranch located in Tierra del Fuego, it has been there since 1886 when the missionary Thomas Bridges established it. Within the limits of the estancia, there are mountains, lagoons, large peat bogs, and the Lasifashaj, Varela, and Cambaceres rivers pass through there.
We will wander in awe at the Penguin Colony located in Isla Martillo, or “Hammer Island” where you arrive by sailing wast along the eastern Beagle Channel, observing panoramic views of the Chilean and Argentine islands and the Fuegian channels.
Finally, upon reaching the island, the specially prepared boats do a sort of programmed stranding, allowing the penguins to get down to the very foot of the ship, without entering the water.
The event will be PRE-RECORDED but the Organizer will be LIVE and ready to answer all your questions.
